Dampstain on upper & lower spine, cloth puckered in a couple of patches on the front cover, slight staining, edgewear, corners bumped; whole book curved with spine jammed and slanted from poor storage (looks loke the book was stored for a long time in a box on its spine with something heavy on top - and it got a little wet. Plates all present, but the tissue guards stuck to one egg on each of three color plates, leaving the guards torn and small bits stuck to the image. The b/w plates are okay. 197 pages, six chromolitho plates of bird eggs, 34 tinted b/w plates, index. Travel and natural history, with lots of egg-collecting.. First Edition. Cloth.
