The text is taken from The Revelation of St. John the Divine from the King James version of the bible and is printed on French handmade Apta Velin paper and features 29 woodblock prints by Jim Dine. A near fine copy in oak veneer plywood boards, stained with a lightening-bolt image drawn by Dine and with a pigskin spine that has some the usual darkening caused by oxidation. Signed by Dine on the title page and the publisher, Andrew Hoyem, on the colophon page. A beautiful production that marked the beginning of Dine's numerous books with this publisher.

Johnson has embellished the front cover with the text "Your trout stam got her un-cancelled so here's mud in your eye." Dated July 6, 1971 and with his usual drawing and also with a handwritten Louis Armstrong as well. The piece has been framed by him and with some coloring behind the piece as well. Includes an original envelope from Johnson affixed to the reverse side addressed to F. (Futzie) Nutzzzle of Balloon Newspaper and with a copy of a humorous "letter" from curator Henry Geldzahler to Johnson talking about his favorite dead person being Kathleen Ferrier. All components in lovely condition. A nicer than usual collage by Johnson.
