Lewis says, "This Bible is intended to help you in two ways. First, it is offered to help you engage for yourself in the abiding and eternal Word of God. Secondly, it is designed to help you gain a richer, fuller, and more meaningful understanding of authentic manhood. "Let me suggest you start your day reading this Bible and then reviewing one of the pages of notes I have provided for you on authentic manhood. Doing so will help you connect both to God and also to your desire to reach higher as a man. I believe this combination will not only make you a better man, but God's man!"
