One inch split starting at top of front fold and 3/8th inch at top rear fold. Grease paint library marking near spine base. Carnegie Library of Atlana 1899 bookplate affixed front pastedown. Just above on same page is a small bookplate preceding the library plate: 'The Property of J. Henry Smith, Washington, DC, 36 Oct., 1857,' Tanning, darkening & soiling on end papers front and rear.
