Also includes 10 inch by 8 inch portrait of Tony Blair, signed and mounted, loosely inserted. House of Commons complimentary slip inscribed and signed by Helen Southworth, Labour MP for Warrington South 1997 to 2010, loosely inserted. A look at the art and architecture of the house as well as the famous people and momentous events associated with it. Black cloth. Gilt lettering and gilt publisher's device to spine. Photographs by Mark Fiennes (father of the acting dynasty). Illustrated throughout in colour and in black and white. Endpapers illustrated with photographs. 285 by 225mm (11¼ by 8¾ inches). Top corner of fore edge of both upper board and of lower board, and bottom corner of fore edge of lower board lightly bumped. Bottom edge of both upper and of lower board lightly bumped. Head of spine of dust jacket chipped. Rear panel of dustjacket rubbed. The with compliments slip had been paper clipped to the half title page and there is a the faint imprint of the shape of the clip to that page and those adjacent. A very good copy in a very good dust jacket. Very good copy in like dust jacket . Hardback. 1999.
