New Directions, 1955. First edition, first printing. A real treasure. One of the poet's early translation collection, this time from the Japanese. The book was printed in Italy 1955 and is bilingual. Near fine illustrated gray boards with just a light toning with a paper label to the spine in glassine dustjacket as issued. Tipped in a review by Witter Bynner from The Herald Tribune dated February 19, 1956 regarding Kenneth Rexroth's translations
