New York: Harcourt, Brace & World, 1963. E.E. Cummings (1894-1962) served with his friend John Dos Passos in the ambulance corps during WW I, where, like so many others, they became strongly anti-war. Although radical in his orthography and cultural attitudes, oddly enough cummings was a political supporter of Joseph McCarthyThis is a Very Good copy of a Later Printing of the First Edition. Blue paper-covered boards with light green cloth spine. Clean text with 73 pages. Two very tiny smudges, else Near Fine. The dustjacket is clipped; shows some wear, with several small closed tears, wrinkling, and a moisture ring (wine glass?). In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Later Printing.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good.
