Binding rubbed and scuffed, tiny hole to bottom of spine repaired, small repair to leather on upper cover, some loss of surface leather to lower cover, pale age-browning affecting margins and text, occasional light foxing and a few shallow creases due to page turning, old ink manuscript note to head of title page, small manuscript note attached to front free endpaper by wax, both in Latin, small old ink note at bottom of last page, not affecting text, otherwise a very good copy. Showing the costumes and uniforms of German miners and iron and steel workers. This copy is from the Library of J. A. Freilich with his small book-label on blank side of first free endpaper. Joseph A. Freilich amassed probably the finest mineralogy library formed in the 20th century, and copies from that collection were sold at Sotheby's in New York in 2001. "Die Stempel mit dem Schriftzug: "Alfred-Rosenberg-Spende für die Deutsche Wehrmacht …". Eine kurze Untersuchung nach anderen Belegen und Formen über diesen Stempel ergab, dass solche Stempel auch mit anderen Gaubezeichnungen bekannt sind. Es handelte sich bei diesen Aktionen um deutschlandweite Buchsammlungen, die das Ziel verfolgten, den Soldaten an der Front Bücher zukommen zu lassen. Durchgeführt wurde die Aktion "Buchspende für die Deutsche Wehrmacht" vom Kriegs-Winterhilfswerk, dem ein Aufruf Rosenbergs voranging. You get one antique Die Juden in Memmingen by Dr. Julius Miedel 1909 softcover book published by Otto in Germany. This item is in German. This book is in good overall condition with some wear to its covers and edges. The spine is cracked in the back and the last ten, or so, pages are attached by two of the threads, but are not completely loose. The foldout Guggenheimer family tree is still attached to the inside of the rear cover. The pages are clean, except for an etching of a church on the first page, and have slight tanning. Included free are a few old articles. There are no print copies available in WorldCat, This item is 8 inches tall by 5.5 inches wide.
