With numerous black & white photos and four maps; and with Alexander Gardner photographic frontis portrait of Mr. Lincoln. --- In full navy cloth-covered boards with blindstamped publisher device to cover, titling and decorations stamped in gilt on spine. Jacket features drawing of Lincoln on cover. --- With noticeable acidic staining to front endpapers & jacket flap, caused by insertion of newsclips, and with strip of dusty soiling to lower edge of front cover; otherwise a clean, unmarked copy. Unclipped jacket has some darkening to spine and small tears & chafing to edges, else nice and protected in removable mylar wrapper.; Octavo (8 to 9 in. tall); (16), 548, xii pages .
