Hardcover binding is rubbed and fraying at the top edge, with minor bumping, and minor shelfwear. No dustjacket. Signed and inscribed on the front endpaper "For Hugh T. Martin [signed] John T. Richards Chicago Illinois November 11th 1930." DEFECT: There is minor staining to the lower corner of the pages, affecting only the margin, where there was exposure to moisture. There is no odor. The text is otherwise clean and unmarked. First edition..
