In a tan cloth box, gilt leather label. Second printing of this early French account of the Revolution, scarcer than the Paris printing of the previous year. "Day-by-day account of events from Gage's arrival at Boston until French recognition" - Howes. With the Treaty of Amity and Commerce concluded between France and the United States on Feb. 6, 1778 at the end of the text. A very nice copy. HOWES D528. SABIN 21037.
