Quarto, pp. half-title, vi, [2], 234, [2]. 20 colour tipped-in plates by Hugh Thomson, plate leaves with illustrated borders and captioned pictorial tissue guards. Decorative red cloth with gilt titles, blocked in gilt to spine and upper board. Spine lightly sunned. Free endpapers toned as usual; a little scattered foxing mainly to text-block edge. No annotation or inscriptions. A Very Good copy. An excellent example of the handsome illustrated edition, with Thomson's distinctive exquisite plates. Heavyweight, so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
