With a few scattered drawings by Bertram Greene and several excellent maps by Erwin Raisz, some of which fold out, as well as maps of the Caribbean Sea to endpapers. Includes a frontis portrait of an imagined Columbus, from an etching by Lenri Lefort. --- In rust cloth-covered boards with image of a compass to front cover in blue and gilt, gilt titling on blue spine block and black topstain.
