Color pastedown on front cover. Color illustrated endpapers. Illustrated list for the publisher's The Children's Red Books series on pp. [2-3]; this title is vol. 6 of 12. Title page in red, yellow, green, and black. Includes a much abridged version of The Swiss family Robinson on pages 35-57. Publisher's advertisements for Frank L. Baum books and Rainy Day Scrap Books on 3 pages following text. Although the book is copyrighted 1907, the advertisement for The Famnous Oz Books includes The Emerald City of Oz, which appeared in 1910, indicating that this book was published in that year or soon thereafter. Bookseller's label on back free endpaper verso for Charles Ream, Lancaster, Pa. The "This Book Belongs to" page (p. [1]), has been filled in for William Werntz, who received the book from his teacher, Beryl Frew, for perfect attendance in the school year 1915-16. William Werntz wrote his name and Coatesville, Pa., address on the front endpapers. In Very Good- Condition: ends of spine are rubbed; faint dampstain at tail of spine and along lower edge of back board; light migration of red to lower edge of back endpapers; occasional very light finger soiling on pages; otherwise, clean and bright.
