First edition, stated on copyright page: First Published in 1964 by the Viking Press. (No ISBN as printed before 1970.) This Broadway play was made into a TV movie, and is based on the author's divorce from Marilyn Monroe. Very good condition hardback, hardback cover in burgundy-colored cloth with yellow/green stripes (matching the dj); gold embossed lettering on spine. Very good condition of dj, with unclipped price $3.95. Note: dust jacket is first issue; it does not state (which later version does) Final Stage Version. This edition states the title and the subtitle of a Play in Two Acts. Seemingly unread. Tight, clean, bright, unmarked pages. 129 pages plus unnumbered page of cast.
