Bookplate signed by Grafton loosely laid in. Fine in a Very Good+ dustjacket, unclipped, with a single 1.5" tear to lower front flap fold, with some discreet attendant creasing. First book in the author's best-selling Kinsey Millhone series.

Synopsis

"A" Is for Alibi is the first novel in the Kinsey Millhone series by crime writer Sue Grafton. It was published in 1982. The first printing of "A" Is for Alibi was 7,500 copies. Grafton based the story to some extent on her own 'fantasies' of murdering her then husband prior to divorce.
