Garden City and New York: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1928. Early printing. Hardcover. Very good/good. Carroll C. Snell. 171pp. Duodecimo [19.5 cm] Orange cloth over boards, with brown lettering and ornamental violin vignettes. The spine slants forward a bit. In a price-clipped dust jacket, with fading at the spine (title still bright), a couple of closed tears in the edges (the deepest tear is 2"), and periodic shallow edge chips. Illustrated by Carroll C. Snell. From the book: "Alice, a little girl closely related to that other famous Alice, finds herself in the kingdom of Orchestralia, where she is heartily received by the different instruments. A kindly old Bass Viol takes charge of her, and before her visit is over she has learned an amazing amount about what goes to make up a symphony concert.
