Oblong large quarto, 114pp. DEFECTIVE COPY - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: LACKING ALL SIX OF THE COLOR LITHOGRAPHS BY MAURICE LAURENCIN, which were very frustratingly removed by a previous owner. What remains (the entirety of the text) remains sound, and the rather fragile binding with some very gentle wear to the spine ends. Tissue dust jacket shows typical edgewear, but no large chips or structural tears. The limitation leaf has also been removed, although by all appearances this is one of just 50 copies printed on Japanese vellum (of a total limitation of 790). The larger limitation issue, printed on Rives paper, often suffers from foxing, which is entirely absent here. A frustrating, defective copy, priced accordingly; still otherwise clean and sound, and of use to anyone who wishes to supply a copy with facsimile reproductions of the plates, or perhaps other research purposes.
