About the author

Jim Woodring is a writer, cartoonist, and conceptual artist. Woodring was born in Los Angeles and worked as a garbage collector and merry-go-round operator before settling in as a cartoonist. Woodring is known for Frank and Jim. Woodring was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for his story Weathercraft. In addition to animation, Woodring is also an extremely accomplished fine artist.
