Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts and inscriptions. Light water staining, foxing and tanning to pages; text unaffected. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Page corners are slightly dog-eared throughout. Noticeable looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

Edges have several very small (dental-floss thin) indentations in it which is barely visible unless you tilt the book (and are rather pleasing tactilly). 219 p. Audience: General/trade. Ezra Pound once called Powys, Jesus Christ Powys. Powys is said to have responded by calling Pound, Ezra Pond Newt.

Dj is slightly rubbed to some edges, with some chipping. rather grubby to rear cream panel of dj. not price-clipped. ffep has a shadow of prior insert ( bookmark?) egdes of textblock are foxed. Internally, a good clean copy, without inscriptions or marginalia 1st edition.
