On half-title page in blue ink: "To my dear friends Jan and Roy Bean--wtih whom Christmas is any time of the year! Love, Ed McBain." In a slipcase with one side cut like a precinct window showing the book's Christmas tree inside, praise from Washington Post, Robert Parker, New York Daily News and others. Light wear to slipcase corners. Near Very Fine slipcase, Very Fine book.
