Plain text dustwrapper with white and orange coloured titles to the front panel and black and orange coloured titles to the back strip. Black-and-white photograph of author to the rear panel. When Charles Robinson's partner (male) dies, his next door neighbour a widow Â– Anne Durham Â– is dismayed as no one comes to give solace and condolences for the death of Charles's partner. Impulsively one night she makes a cake, rings her neighbours doorbell and Charles opens his door, not only to the cake, but to a relationship that starts out awkwardly and ends with caring and trust. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with dust marks to the top book edge. Rubbing to the lower book edges with age toning of the text block edges and pages. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with a small, 0.25 ", tear to the top edge of the rear panel. Sunning to all dustwrapper panels and there are a few marks to the verso.
