Easily the to then definitive work devoted exclusively to porcelain made in America, colonial to the Roaring '20s. More than 130 examples of near-perfect porcelain manufacture are represented here, being a fine social history of porcelain manufacture and the industries and cultures built around them. Published to augment the show of the same name held at the Met in 1989. A superior copy inside and out, being a sterling condition hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Handsomely produced in medium blue cloth, with sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, paper-backed, illustrated, showing only very minor wear, protected by a plastic coat and with some rubbing thereto, not price-clipped. Gift-quality condition inside and out. xv [1], 2-320 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
