About the author

Specializing in post-war European and American art, Joseph D. Ketner II has curated many exhibitions and published numerous books on such artists as Bruce Conner, Jean Dubuffet, Bruce Nauman and Roxy Paine. Over the past decade, he has produced several exhibitions on Warhol. In 2009, he curated the first interpretation of the artist's long-ignored late work in 'Andy Warhol: The Last Decade' as well as the exhibition 'Image Machine: Andy Warhol and Photography' in 2012. He is the Henry and Lois Foster Chair in Contemporary Art, Distinguished Curator-in-Residence, at Emerson College, Boston.
