About This Item

Amsterdam:: V.O.C.,, (1981). Hardcover first edition -. Very near fine in a near fine dustjacket.. First edition. A small, slim book with 38 paintings of angels by German artist Sulamith Wulfing - most in full color. Wulfing's parents were theosophists and for the first years of her life they lived in complete seclusion. From an early age, she had visions of angels, fairies and elvin spirits and these inspired her art. Each illustration is accompanied only by a brief title because she wanted to leave any "explanation of the drawings completely to the viewer." Unpaginated.
