About the author

Christopher Wormell is the celebrated English wood engraver whose illustrated books are collected and loved throughout the world. His first children's book, An Alphabet of Animals, won the prestigious Graphics Prize at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair and has been reprinted in numerous editions. He is also the winner of the 2004 New York Times Book Review Best Illustrated Children's Book Award for his title, Teeth, Tails, & Tentacles. Most recently, his adaptation of Aesop's fables, Mice, Morals, & Monkey Business, received starred reviews from Publisher's Weekly, School Library Journal, and Kirkus Reviews, and was named an SJL Best Book of 2005. Wormell lives in London with his wife and three children.
