About the author

Yona Zeldis McDonough was born in Israel. Her work has been published in a number of magazines, including "Family Circle" and "Harper's Bazaar." She is the author of two other children's books: "Frank Lloyd Wright "and" Eve and Her sisters: Women of the Old Testament." She lives in Brooklyn, new York, with her husband and their two children.
Malcah Zeldis is an internationally known folk artist. Her paintings hang in many museums in the United States and abroad. Her books for children include "A Fine Fat Pig, Honest Abe, "and "Eve and Her Sisters: Women of the Old Testment," which was her first collaboration with her daughter, Yona. Ms. Zeldis was born in New York, grew up in Detroit, and spent nine years living in Israel. Currently, she resides in New York City.
