About This Item
Kaye & Ward Ltd., 1971. VG/G++. 1st Edition, 12.3 x 10 cm pictorial boards, 77(3)pp with colour illustrations throughout. In original price clipped jacket. The boards have a touch of shelf-wear to the bottom edge and a 2.5 cm crease at the top of the rear joint (possibly from production) but are otherwise bright and clean. Internally without name, inscription or bookplate but with a faint tide mark 4.5 cm along the top edge of the text block and a similar amount down the fore edge. It is apparent, most noticeably, in the margins of the top corner of the first leaf but faintly at the top edge of most pages. The dust jacket which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) presents very well. It is a little rubbed on the spine tips corners and edges with some surface abrasion and minimal loss to the corners and spine tips. The Dr J title has been partly coloured in using a biro. There is a light stain on the verso of the dust jacket covering the front and spine panels and just on to the back panel and front flap which is only visible on the front panel at the extent of the tide mark (front lower corner, back panel moving left from joint and top of front flap). First Edition Ant and Bee books are difficult to find particularly with their original dust jackets. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
