London: Wm. Clarke and others, 1816. Hardcover. VG but with library marks as usual and with small, round stamps on the edge of each plate image. Not terribly offensive, though.. Vols. I and II combined. Maroon library binding with gold spine lettering; unpaginated with about 200 pages; 38 engravings in Vol. I and 48 in Vol. II, with additional bw illustrations in each. Each exquisite plate image is 3.5x2.25 inches. Churches, castles, architectural sculpture and more stunning works from the length and breadth of Britain are included. Extensive text, lists of plates and indeces. Any student of British architecture, or any Anglophile, needs this book.
