According to the jacket, the author was a Chicago newspaper man; according to Wikipedia, Avery was one of several pseudonyms used by Rutherford George Montgomery, a prolific children's book author, including a series of aviation adventure books as Al Avery. Hardcover in jacket, as shown; first edition (first printing), with publisher's FR sigil on copyright page. Light wear to book; jacket edgeworn, chipped, creased, & torn; some foxing/spotting to page edges. Text clean; [6], 306 pages. . . Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Small Octavo.
