Colour illustrated wraparound dustwrapper, marred only by a slight fading of the spine section. The other damage to the book, is an inscription dated 1990, written by the recipient acknowledging the donor, and mentioning one of the relatives who was with second Brigade, AIF. Professor Robertson has gathered together a wide selection of new material in the form of diaries and letters so as to recreate the events of 1915 as perceived by those who lived and suffered through them. As well, he explores the relationship between Australia and Britain at all levels from private to general and from private citizen to Prime Minister and Governor General. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
