LONDON : GEOFFREY BLES, 1933 Brown cloth boards with gilt blocked titles to spine, 225 x 150 mm approx. viii + 294 pp.1933 - reprint. A very readable autobiography. G K Chesterton was particularly glowing in his praise for the author's writing skills. Sutherland a Scottish doctor of medicine was a pioneer in his work fighting tuberculosis and wrote a number of books but this his autobiography met with the greatest success testified by it being reprinted nine times during the first year of publication. The copy offered is warmly inscribed and signed by him in black ink to the front free end paper. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition.
