About This Item

Tucson: Arizona Silhouettes, 1959. First edition. Hardcover. Very good minus/good. 304pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Dark red cloth covered boards with decorative gilt stamped titles. The spine is heavily rolled, and there is a previous owner's bookplate on the front free endsheet. The bookplate is covering a name in dark red pen that has bled through to the verso of the page. There is also a faint erased pencil notation on the front free endsheet. Else, the pages are clean. In a price-clipped dust jacket, with much insect nibbling to the edges and surface. The story of one of Arizona's most distinguished pioneer families, a major contribution to the archives of Arizoniana, and at the same time a large chapter in the history of the Mormons.
