London: John Hamilton Ltd., n.d. Octavo, greenboards (hardcover), 221 pp + Log Book. Very Good+, with light foxing and neat former-owner bookplate; in a Good+, mylar protected dust jacket with edgewear that includes light chipping. From dust jacket: A sleek, white plane, speeding like a streaking bullet, roars out of the west and sets the world afire with enthusiasm for its feat -- the circling of the earth in eight days. “Two young men in a hurr,” have spun this strudy monoplane around the globe, thereby winning for themselves a place with the immortals of the air. They have clipped the zero off Jules Vere’s once incredible 80 days, cut over three years from the time-record of the first circumnavigation of the world -- Magellan’s -- and beat the “Graf Zeppelin” by 12 days. With the same apparent ease with which the flew the “Winnie Mae” to victory, these…
