ngeles Mastretta naci en la ciudad de Puebla, Mxico, en 1949. Periodista, poeta, y narradora, estudi comunicacin en la UNAM. Fue directora de Difusin Cultural de la ENEP Acatln (UNAM) y del Museo del Chopo. Su novela Arrncame la vida le ha hado reconocimiento a nivel nacional (Premio Mazatln de Literatura 1985) e internacional, pues ha sido traducida la alemn, ingls, italiano, francs, dans, turco, noruego, portugus, hebreo y holands.
