An early reprinting of this first edition Arthur Rackham, a very highly regarded book illustrator. Early reprinting of this first edition. First published in 1933, London. A large collection of illustrations to accompany classic fairytales and stories. Includes 8 coloured plates. Collated complete. Written and illustrated by Arthur Rackham, an English book illustrator recognised as one of the leading figures during the Golden Age of British book illustration. Known for his combination pen and ink drawings with watercolour, his work has been featured with the early American tale of 'Rip Van Winkle' and 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens'. In the original red binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear to extremities. Clipped dust wrapper, very smart. A few closed tears with sympathetic repairs made with tape to reverse of the head and tail of the spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
