Octavo, two volumes, xxviii, 390 and xvi, 391-646 pages plates with a map and 88 illustrations plus 146 pages of plates comprising 231 illustrations (mostly from photographs) including 4 double-page colour plates and a folding colour map. Quarter cloth and pictorial papered boards (different images on each volume), with pictorial front endpapers and text on all endpapers (the same in each volume); a fine set in the sturdy pictorial papered slipcase. Attention has been paid to detail in the production of this facsimile edition of this seminal work; these volumes represent excellent value for money.
