New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1914. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Octavo, 8.4 in. x 5.6 in., pp. xix, 188. Illustrated with thirty-four full-page black and white photographs and fold-out map of Southeastern Alaska. Blue cloth boards with white and gray climbing graphic and gilt title to front. Gilt title to spine. Rubbing to extremities with light soiling to boards; corners bumped. Moisture spots to spine. A couple wrinkles to rear board. Interior unmarked. Very light spotting to frontis. Hudson Stuck (1863 - 1920) was a British native who became an Episcopal priest, social reformer and mountain climber in the United States. With Harry P. Karstens, he co-led the first expedition to successfully climb Denali (Mount McKinley) in June 1913, via the South Summit. He published five books about his years in Alaska.
