Lyon - Lugduni: Apud Antonium Gryphium , 1515. Attractively bound second half of this pocket-sized edition of the Attic Nights which brings together numerous fragments of classical literature. The book is in seventeenth century sheepskin binding with faded gilt decoration and clasps which are hinged from the upper board. Old annotation with some penmanship on the final leaf. This large fragment of a Lyon printing from around the 1560s collates: pp. 471-734 [110]. The Attic Nights of Aulus Gellius is a wide-ranging compilation which was much reprinted during the first couple of centuries of printing.
