The Tree Lover, 5 January 1932. 2 pp. 9 x 7 inches, fold marks, minor blemishes. Canon Lonsdale Ragg (1866-1945), author of Dante and his Italy (1907) and Things Seen In Venice (1912). Frederick Rolfe's The Desire and Pursuit of the Whole, his autobiographical novel set in Venice, contains a merciless portrait of the Raggs as Exeter and Emily Warden.
