Hoboken, NJ: Double Play Productions, 1983. Second Draft script for the 1983 film. Production memo laid in with the script, dated February 25, 1983. Included with the script is a satin-finish color photograph of cast and crew members posing together on the set. From the collection of production coordinator Shelley Houis.

At a New Jersey high school, an upper-middle-class Jewish girl and an Italian blue-collar boy enjoy a whirlwind first romance, although their relationship is soon torn apart by their class differences. Rosanna Arquette's first starring role, and the first major studio production by director John Sayles.

Set in New Jersey and New York.

Red titled Studio Duplicating Service wrappers. Title page present, undated, noted as Second Draft, with credit for director-screenwriter John Sayles. 125 leaves, with last page of text numbered 124. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
