About This Item
Tulsa, Oklahoma: Council Oak Books, Ltd., 1986. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Book has black covers with an embossed pig on the front cover. Author and title are etched in the volume on the spine. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality Brodart cover. Inside front and back covers of the volume are World War II ration stamps facsimile. The author's tale is a humorous account of the prairie homefront in the early 1940's complete with bootleggers and moonshine, roughnecks, and a front-yard oil rig. It is a work of learning how to cope with the vagaries of rural life that launched Mary on a wonderful career that includes the publication of two best-selling books. A very nice, almost mint, copy.
