Silver City: Privately printed by the author, 1997., 1997. First edition. Second edition. 8vo. Signed by the author. Pictorial wrappers, 26 pp., illustrated. A biography of the author's great grandfather, John W. Vaden, a Texas Ranger and deputy sheriff who was shot and killed in Ft. McKavett, Texas in 1886. His killer, Ben Daniels, also a Texas lawman, later moved to Arizona where he became a U. S. Marshal, Superintendent of the Yuma Prison, and a Pima County sheriff. Fine copy.
