[Henry] Austin Dobson (1840-1921) was an English poet, essayist, and biographer. Hugh Thomson was a well-respected and prolific book illustrator known for his illustration work for editions of Jane Austen, J. M. Barrie, Charles Dickens, and Elizabeth Gaskell.
