About This Item
New York: Thomas Y. Crowell Company, 1965. Hardcover. Illustrations by Paul Galdone. Small 4to. Pictorial cloth over boards, pictorial price-clipped dust jacket. (Ca. 50pp). Numerous color illustrations. Near fine/very good. Slightest of jacket edgewear. First of this "Crowell Library Binding" edition, tight and handsome -- the mildest of ex-library copies, having NO jacket spine marking whatsoever and only abrasion on rear flyleaf. Laid in are a couple of ephemeral leaflets from the Barbara Frietchie House Museum of Frederick, Maryland -- both including the text of Whittier's celebrated poem.
