Came from a set of Dickens library edition but complete in it's own right. Beautuifully bound in the original three quarter calf and hand marbled pape covered boards.. Lovley gilt tooling and raised bands. Hand marbled endpapers and matching page edges, Book is in very good and very bright. Light marking/rubbing to leather and boards. Nice tight hinges. Contents good. Light foxing to some page edges. More images can be taken upon request.Ref 14951
Synopsis
Barnaby Rudge: A Tale of the Riots of Eighty, commonly known as Barnaby Rudge , is an historical novel by the author Charles Dickens. Barnaby Rudge was one of two novels that Dickens published in his short-lived weekly serial Master Humphrey's Clock, which lasted from 1840 to 1841, when the book was published. It was Dickens' first attempt at an historical novel, his only other being A Tale of Two Cities.
