Canton, Massachusetts: Aegean Books International, 1998. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 6 1/4 X 9 1/4 Inches. 303 PP. Signed and inscribed on the half title-page by George Theodore, former New York Met and one of the subjects of the book. A fabulous and somewhat scarce reference on Greek-American major league baseball players from 1934 to 1974. Includes biographies of Jim Campanis, Billy Loes and Milt Pappas among many others. Original price of $24.95 intact on rear flap. The highlight of this book is the Appendix that contains scans of the original interview letters that Zervos sent out to former players in order to obtain first-hand information on some of the Greek-Americans he was writing about. The actual scanned letters are from the likes of Stan Musial, Harmon Killebrew, Ted Williams, Sparky Anderson and many more.
