Description

London: The Sunday School Union, 1896. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Illustrated by A. Scott Rankin. 1896. Size 7.5" x 4.75", 143 pages plus 14 pages of publisher's book lists. Blue cloth with ornate yellow and black floral titles on the front cover and spine, the titles being gilt on the spine. Condition very good, corners and spine edges rubbed, slightly grubby, few spots to endpapers else contents clean. The titles are printed in red and black with a colour illustration of a basket of flowers. Colour frontispiece "Mary in the prison cell" and five further colour illustrations by A. Scott Rankin.
