Alfred A. Knopf, New York, 1968. 74 pp. 8vo (8 9/16" H), hard cover - no dust jacket. A poem about "The batttle of Aughrim (literally horse-ridge)...fought on the evening of Sunday, July 12, 1691, about seventeen miles southwest of Athlone, almost in the centre of Ireland. It was the last decisive battle in Irish history." This is followed by a poem set in Southern Rhodesia, "The God Who Eats Corn". Interior - soft crease down rear free endpaper and last page, small faint stain at bottom of page 67/68, otherwise clean and tight with no other ownership marks. Exterior - tiny light stain at top of spine, minor rubbing, very faint small cup ring and liquid stain on front board. VG-.
