Davies, reflecting on his time travelling homeless in the States and Britain. The first edition of this scarce work.In the very scarce unclipped dust wrapper.An interesting piece of social study by the Welsh poet W. H. Davies, a semi-autobiographical work reflecting on life in poverty in the late Victorian era.Davies spent most of his life without a home, travelling through Britain and the U.S.Four pages of publisher's adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Small mark to the head of the front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few minor marks to the rear board. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn, heavier to the head of the spine, where edge wear has resulted in small chips and closed tears. Spine is discoloured with light marks, further minor marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
